HOW TO FUSE FIREWORKS TOGETHER

1. Find a proper base to attach fireworks. A flat piece cardboard will work or board you may have laying around. If you have anything laying around Home Depot often sells small drop pieces.

2. Fusing several pieces together allows you to time your fireworks show so that the effects are continuous. This method provides a better show than lighting one piece at a time. It also allows the person who is lighting the fireworks to enjoy the show instead of constantly lighting fuses. To fuse two or more items together, you will need some pink or green safety fuse, which is sold at Fireworks Superstore USA.

This pink fuse burns at an approximate rate of 9-13 seconds per foot. You will need to determine how many inches or feet of to use between each item so that your items ignite when you want them to ignite. Pink fuse will burn more quickly than green fuse and may be more appropriate for the finale' section of your fireworks show. This will provide enough overlap of your 200 or 500 grams cakes (or artillery) to have them simultaneously going off for the grand finale'.

⚠️"Green Fuse should be used for the initial portion of your show"

3. Map out your firework placement on cardboard. Glue base of firework with wood glue or some other adhesive. Then use duct tape or metal tape to tape edges of fireworks to the base. The glue or tape is to keep your fireworks from accidentally tipping over.

4. Attach all fuses to the delayed pilot fuse. You will do this by holding the short fuse attached to the item side-by-side with the green fuse and then use 3/4 to 1-inch wide masking tape or zip ties to tape them together tightly. The objective is to have the fuse which is “giving fire” be burning right against the fuse which is “taking fire” for your chosen length. It is generally a bad idea to connect your fuses at right angles, or end-to-end, as this can result not lighting.

5. When fusing is complete you can use metal tape or duct tape to tape all fuse down to the cardboard if you like. This will help prevent any cross ignition between fireworks but is often not necessary on smaller backyard shows.
